In April Qrator Labs specializing in counteraction to DDoS attacks and ensuring availability of Internet resources and Yandex. The cloud, a public cloud platform from the Russian Internet company Yandex, provided Yandex DDoS Protection service for protection of the applications placed in cloud infrastructure against DDoS attacks.

Yandex DDoS Protection is connected at the time of creation of a cloud resource and applied to the public IP addresses of virtual machines, network balancers and hosts of the databases placed in Yandex. Cloud.

All incoming traffic of the protected resources passes through nodes of filtering of Qrator network and is analyzed regardless of existence of the attack then the cleaned traffic is redirected on the protected resource. Yandex DDoS Protection automatically "cleans" traffic at the 2nd and 3rd levels of a network model of OSI and also protects SYN flood from the attacks of a type.

Permanent monitoring allows to define a normal profile of traffic for each resource and to quickly detect DDoS attack practically in real time without user intervention.

Yandex DDoS Protection combines possibilities of external reference network Qrator and the equipment which is posted online directly clouds. Sites of filtering Qrator deployed in Yandex infrastructure. Clouds, guarantee complete cleaning of the traffic generated locally in a national segment of the Internet, against "garbage" and anomalies. The task of resource protection of a cloud from the attacks which traffic is generated in other countries of the world is solved by the main network Qrator having multiterabit capacity and potential of high-capacity batch processing for instant filtering of the most widespread DDoS attacks.
