Municipal services of Zelenograd began to use 'smart' ballot boxes

On April 25, 2019 the Prof-IT Group company reported that her specialists and the Prefecture of Zelinograd Administrative District of Moscow implemented a pilot project in the field of Smart City technologies. Implementation is directed to improvement of the urban environment and effective management of housing and public utilities, in particular, decrease in costs of the city for collecting, placement and garbage removal.

In Zelenograd the 'smart' ballot box equipped with a remote control system and monitoring, indicators of filling and a press is installed. The solution transfers data on fillability of a ballot box and sends information to devices of management company. The 'smart' ballot box works from the solar battery and does not require connection to networks of power supply.

The built-in press allows to reduce the frequency of collecting and garbage removal by 6-7 times and to call the staff of municipal services only at real need.

For April, 2019 the project is carried out within the experiment, it is, first of all, about an order and an esthetics of the urban environment. As a transport hub Kryukovskaya Square has high passability and load of all elements of infrastructure. Such modern technological solutions help to do space of the city more net. Until recently the majority of projects in the field of Smart City were aimed at monetization. Such implementations are necessary for the cities to receive funds for carrying out the projects directed to increase in the standard of living of citizens. The example of Zelenograd shows that the Russian cities pass to the next stage – are already ready to consider solutions in the field of ecology and management of housing and public utilities. The 'smart' ballot box is placed in Zelenograd into Kryukovskaya Square. It is going to install at least two more ballot boxes in the center of Zelenograd at Yunosti Square where city festivals will be organized.

The idea of the project is offered by the resident on the website of the district electronic newspaper zelao.ru, 'Your Question to the Power' service as the comment on the problems of overpopulation of ballot boxes designated by other inhabitants.
