VTB intends to pass to Microsoft Exchange

On April 25, 2019 it became known that the VTB bank decided to refuse the email clients — for benefit of Microsoft Exchange Server. The corresponding conditions of the tender are stated in the technical project of official state procurement with the starting price of contract of 40.9 million rubles.

The name of the tender — request for proposals on the service provision agreement on design of a corporate system of e-mail and migration of mail data. From what mail systems the bank moves, in VTB refused to report. This information is not stated in tender documents.

Requests from applicants on will be accepted in a row till April 30, 2019. The bank is going to decide on the supplier on May 31. The timeline for delivery of services on migration is expected 420 days from the moment of agreement signature.

At determination of the winner in equal shares the price proposal of the applicant and his qualification will be considered. Attention will be paid to the agreements performed earlier which subject was implementation and upgrade of the mail systems based on Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 for the organizations numbering not less than 5 thousand staff for the period 2016 — 2018.

Under the terms of the created agreement, the customer requested absolute prepayment. The results of works issued in the contract are required for it in four copies.

In the draft treaty it is separately specified that results of performance of the contract are the system unrolled according to the agreement with the data transferred from the existing system of e-mail of the customer.

A mail system, whose address capacity will make about 70 thousand boxes, will have to maintain ability to integrate with the system of instant messages and also audio-and video conferences based on Skype for Business. The maximum size of the database of mailboxes is stated at the level of 600 GB, mail archives — 1 TB, amount of data in files of personal folders — 260 TB.

server OS Windows Microsoft Server of the version not lower than 2016 will act as a reference operational platform for a projectible mail system. A system should use the existing domain infrastructure of bank implemented based on services Microsoft Active Directory, said in tender documents.

Besides, the implemented system should have a possibility of implementation of a subsystem of archiving of letters.

The customer specified that it is necessary to ensure functioning of users with the calendar and tasks using different types of the full-function jobs implemented based on a client part of Microsoft Office Outlook 2010/2013/2016 and the subsequent versions, the Internet of the browser or mobile devices^[1].
