Channel One attracted Group-IB to check of results of vote of a show "a Voice. Kids

On April 24, 2019 the Group-IB company announced the solution of Channel One to begin own investigation concerning the situation which developed around the show final "a Voice. Kids. the international company Group-IB specializing in prevention of cyber attacks and conducting difficult digital investigations is attracted to the check of results of vote initiated by Channel One.

According to the company, experts of Group-IB will make independent investigation during which the information security of a system of counting of votes will be estimated and also the technical and criminalistic analysis of calls and SMS regarding possible wrapping of voices, use of bots and other processing methods of unfair competition between participants is carried out.

The Group-IB command should check integrity and security of a system of carrying out vote, all event logs, connected with selection processes of the winner and also a possibility of receiving a non-authorized access to data and their modification.

Besides, Group-IB proaudirut the results reported by SMS-servisy company which together with Channel One provided technical maintenance of vote within the 6th season of the program "the Voice. Kids.

We should understand whether there is in general a technical capability of intervention in an election system of the winner of the Voice project, i.e. whether the partner company can, agregiruyushchuya calls and SMS, or her individual employees to make changes to results of vote. Thus we will be able to answer a question: whether rather used system is safe to provide objectivity and impartiality of this sort of votes. Work on these directions already began. The investigation parts, methods and means used by experts of Group-IB for April, 2019 are not disclosed.
