2019: Announcement

At the end of April, 2019 Kaspersky Lab provided a set of the Blockchain Security services providing protection a blockchain - and the cryptocurrency companies from cyber attacks and fraud.

Kaspersky Lab started services for cyber defense a blockchain - and crypto - the companies

As the Russian producer of antiviruses reported, in two years prior to an exit of this product Kaspersky Lab revealed a set of risks and threats for the companies whose activity is connected with cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies. In particular, malefactors create phishing copies of the popular ICO websites, arrange target attacks to the cryptocurrency exchanges and extend advertizing software by means of which steal cryptocurrency. For fight against these and other dangers the Kaspersky Blockchain Security complex was also started. It included the following services:

• Smart Contract Code Review. Reveals vulnerabilities and not declared functions and also detects discrepancies of the accompanying documentation and business logic of "smart" contracts.

• Application Security Assessment. Helps the beginning companies to analyze security of applications which they develop.

Kaspersky Lab also offered a special set for implementation of the high level of cyber defense of the cryptocurrency exchanges. Principal components of this product are:

• Application Security Assessment. Helps owners of the cryptocurrency exchanges to look for critical errors and to eliminate them before they cause damage.

• Penetration Testing. Using this tool the cryptocurrency exchanges can find weak points in the systems and not allow hackers to get into them.

• User Account Takeover Prevention. This solution stops attempts of malefactors to get access to the user purses.

The Phishing Protection function which will warn users about the false websites of the cryptocurrency exchanges and ICO also was a part of Kaspersky Blockchain Security.^[1]
