Biography

2019: Receiving from Fresenius of bribes for deliveries of the medical equipment

On May 14, 2019 the court of Moskovsky district of Minsk began to consider criminal case  concerning the former chief physician of the 9th clinical hospital Valery Kushnirenko who was delayed for bribes, including from Fresenius.

Kushnirenko was arrested in the summer of 2018. To it charge according to Part 2  of Article 430 is brought to UK (Taking of a bribe of  the large size), and under this article threatens it from 3 to 10 years of imprisonment.

It is about obtaining the illegal monetary reward for a victory in tenders when purchasing the medical equipment and supplies from a certain supplier.

Gennady Sobolevsky with whom Kushnirenko got acquainted in 1995 is involved in case the chief representative of Fresenius.

I want to tell, never  required money, no arrangements  existed. Even  could not assume that someone after delivery will come and  will bring money — Kushnirenko in the courtroom told.

According to the defendant, the money laid in an envelope and a packet transferred in an office, most often put a parcel on a table.

In total  8 episodes of taking of bribes appear in case papers, the amount of bribery varies from $300 to $3000. According to the investigation, for several years the chief physician of the 9th hospital received in total 13$   800 as rollbacks for a victory in tenders.

In  2017, in addition to $3000, the representative of one of the companies presented to Valery Kushnirenko a commemorative silver coin with  the image worth $500 of Blessed Virgin Mary.

During interrogation the defendant told that in 2008 reconstruction of hospital which took place in  several stages began. The iatrotechnics and  consumables  these years were bought from  own means and  on a centralized basis through the Ministry of Health. Kushnirenko claims that he treated all suppliers equally, and all payments were made by him in time.[1]
