On June 3, 2019 IKEA announced start in Russia of an online service on selection of design projects for apartments in "five-storey apartment blocks" and other standard houses. It is called Kvartiroteka.
To look at suitable option for the housing, it is necessary to enter the address on the website and to select a design. If there is no house in Kvartirotek, then it is possible to look for its design from the list of the houses provided in service.
In "the updated apartment" it is possible to walk, look how there are things and to shift them in case of need. Users can select the design project for a specific zone: kitchens, living room, balcony, clothes, hall, children's room, storeroom, etc. The selected project is available to downloading — in addition to the design service will also make the list of the provided furniture and home decoration.
According to IKEA company, by the beginning of June, 2019 standard buildings about 60% of city dwellers of Russia live, and Russians perform updating of an interior in the apartments approximately time in 5 years.
The Kvartiroteki design projects cover more than 1 million such apartments in which more than 3.7 million people live. The platform with solutions will be constantly replenished, promise in IKEA. For launch of library of design projects it includes 12 views of houses most of which often were under construction in Russia during the period from 1960-to the 2000th years. Designs for one - two - and three-room apartments are provided.
Creating Kvartiroteka, authors of the project wanted to help Russians to answer three main questions under repair: as it is correct to repair the small-size apartment how to organize storage of things and how to make housing comfortable for family with children. Also it is noted that all interiors were developed taking into account these researches of IKEA Russia about life of Russians of the house.[1]
