Developed the complex IT concept of ERP+MES for the Elektrostal plant

Project objective, works on which were begun in March, 2007, increase in controllability and cost efficiency of activity of the enterprise having a full stroke of metallurgical production (steel-smelting, forge and rolling production) is.

Till 2009 it is going to create the multi-layer and multicomponent integrated system integrating full-function solutions on enterprise management and production management. It will include solutions of the class ERP and MES. It is supposed that implementation of MES level will allow to solve a wide range of managerial tasks in the field of production processes. Besides, on the basis of data of production accounting from a MES system, in ERP conducting management accounting and calculation of key indicators will be implemented.

Now inspection and the analysis of business processes of the plant is complete, and according to the results of the concept of creation and development of the integrated corporate information system till 2011 is developed and also the assessment of necessary investments is carried out. Formation of a project team into which customer representatives and the implementation company will enter is begun.

The next stage of project works provides a direct system design and implementation of elements of the first stage. At the level of ERP management subsystems by finance, tax and accounting, management accounting, management of supply and management of material flows, sales management, maintaining the normative reference information, quality management and projects will be implemented (pilot projects). At the level of MES operating control of accomplishment of production orders, operational planning of production, management of maintenance and repairs of the equipment will be implemented.

The ERP functionality will be implemented on the SAP platform, support of production processes will be provided by the specialized MES solution for metallurgy, and the subsystem of TORO will be constructed on the Infor EAM Enterprise Edition platform (Datastream 7i). Systems will be implemented at the same time, and in parallel with implementation their interrelation will be organized.

The works of the first stage are supposed to be completed until the end of 2008. Upgrade of IT infrastructure of the plant will be conducted in parallel. The second queue provide development of the solution and creation of storage business of information (BW) in 2009.
