On June 13, 2019 it became known that the Polish Airlines of LOT and Sabre Corporation, the supplier of technologies for the world industry of tourism and travel, announced prolongation of strategic partnership. According to it hundreds of thousands of agents connected to Sabre worldwide will be able to look for, compare and implement easily and conveniently rates and offers of LOT on Sabre marketplace. The airline will also update the technological solution Sabre AirCentre Flight Plan Manager to the latest version. The carrier uses it for decrease in operating expenses and increase in business performance.
LOT implements the ambitious strategy of profitable growth, aiming to become the leading airline in Central Europe by 2020. It is promoted by positive dynamics of the market of air transportation in the region which grows much quicker, than in other European countries. Using this advantage, LOT takes purposeful actions for development of a transit route network, decrease in the competition, increase in efficiency and strengthening of the command.
The Sabre technology will promote success of LOT on this way. The agreement on distribution will provide to carrier access to global marketplace Sabre that will allow it to implement rates and offers through more than 425,000 agents and thousands of corporations worldwide. The version of the solution Sabre AirCentre Manager Plan will continue to help airline to cut down operating expenses at the expense of the high-optimized flight plans and complex approach to expense optimization. The technological solution will increase operational efficiency thanks to the simplified workflows, electronic distribution of flight plans, faster communication and a possibility of automatic issue of flight plans according to all precepts of law and politicians of the company.
Heads of LOT and Sabre met in May for agreement signature and discussion of the further directions of cooperation earlier. The meeting matched the declaration of Sabre of transfer of global development center in Krakow to larger and modern building that confirms intention of the company to develop in Poland and in Europe in general.
