The leader in the dynamics of the growth of the number of subscribers through the site was the Kurgan region (+ 96 %)
On March 16, 2020, Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, announced the results of the e-commerce segment in 2019. The leaders in the growth of connections were the regions of the Urals, the Far East and Siberia. The largest share of MNP connections in the online channel was shown by Moscow and the regions of Central Russia. The most frequent visitors to the digital channel were people aged 25 to 34 years.
Tele2 continues to develop digital interfaces for attracting subscribers. The company records the active growth of connections through the operator's website in all regions of presence. The leader in growth dynamics was the Kurgan region with an almost double increase in activations - 96%. In second place was the Jewish Autonomous Area, where connections through the digital channel grew by 94%. Next in the list of leaders are the regions of Siberia and the Urals - Krasnoyarsk and Yekaterinburg with a result of 85% and 81%, respectively. The metropolitan area, where Tele2 traditionally has the most digital audience, showed an increase in SIM card connections through the site at 58%.
The operator has analyzed how much of the connections are between clients and MNP. The service is popular among subscribers, and Tele2 is the market leader in the number of numbers transferred to its network. Tele2 has particularly strong results in the metropolitan area, where the MNP balance is 10 to 1 (only one subscriber leaves Tele2 for ten customers who have come). In Moscow, MNP transitions account for 14% of all connections through the site. The Center of Russia is slightly ahead of Moscow and the region in this indicator, where this indicator reached 15%. The list of leaders also includes the regions of Baikal and the Far East, where the share of MNP connections was 12%. A similar result was recorded on the Volga. The Northwest showed a 10% share.
When ordering a SIM card, subscribers prefer tariff plans with a large amount of Internet traffic, which also indicates a qualitative change in the Tele2 subscriber base and the growth of active Internet users on the operator's network. Tele2 estimated what share of sales falls on the online tariffs "My online" and "My online +." The leader in the purchase of these tariffs was the Urals, where 55% of users choose them. In second place are the regions of Central Russia (51%), but the third and fourth places went to the regions of the South and the Volga with shares of 41% and 40%, respectively.
The most active users of the site were people from 25 to 34 years old - their share was 37% of the total number of visitors. The shares of men and women in the number of visitors to the Tele2 website were distributed almost equally: 50.5% and 49.5%, respectively.
The dynamics of connections of popular Internet tariffs confirms the increase in the penetration of package products in our base. Thus, the Tele2 audience is becoming more and more "digital," and our interfaces are increasingly adapting to current customer requests: we try to develop and maintain an effective mix of online and offline contact points with users. So, for example, when making an online order, many customers choose to receive a SIM card in one of the salons of our retail network, the scale of which allows you to pick up an order quickly and conveniently, said Mikhail Golubev, director of e-commerce at Tele2
