VTB pilots Russian product CommuniGate Pro as alternative to Microsoft

On June 21, 2019 VTB announced the beginning of piloting of the Russian communication framework of CommuniGate Pro. The pilot is carried out within the project on creation of single corporate communications system of VTB united bank. Until the end of 2019 according to the results of piloting the decision on a possibility of its further commercial operation in bank will be made.

VTB notes that the software of CommuniGate Pro allows to optimize work e-mail, to transfer voice and video this by means of technology VoIP (IP telephony). The communication framework also provides the open environment for developers of additional functionality. The solution supports different operating systems, including all Russian OS, and works in networks with internet- protocols IPv4 and IPv6.

Due to existence on the platform of all services at the same time instead of approach of integration of several solutions among themselves VTB expects to save on infrastructure and service (a photo - kubnews.ru)

Creation of modern IT infrastructure — one of strategic priorities of IT strategy of VTB until 2022. We are going to use and apply modern, well scalable technologies actively. Naturally, we will consider also our plans for import substitution — the Head of the Moscow Department of Information Technology of VTB bank Sergey Baranov noted.

For launch of the pilot as the main communication framework in bank Microsoft Exchange is used, told TAdviser in bank. It is used in VTB many years. In May, 2019 the bank carried out purchase of Microsoft Exchange and also services in design of a corporate system of e-mail^[1] again].

In total as of the beginning of 2018 in the joint VTB there were about 14 thousand jobs.
