FSO lost to private company the tender for installation of video surveillance in the St. Petersburg subway

On June 25, 2019 it became known of results of the tender for installation of the systems of intellectual video surveillance  in the subway of St. Petersburg. The state enterprise lost to private company at an auction.

According to the Фонтанка.ру edition, SUE "Petersburg Metro" will sign the contract with Aspect Northwest company which reduced the initial price of the order for 10.5% to 309 million rubles. Federal State Unitary Enterprise Sveko, subordinated to the Federal Guard Service (FGS), suggested to implement the project for 310 million rubles that the cost of the contract is 10% less initial.

"The aspect the Northwest" will be engaged in equipment of the Pioneer, Garden, Black Small River and Sports metro stations in the system of intellectual video surveillance. The company will have to mount and set the special software which will allow to detect automatically left objects.

The contractor will have to finish works on equipment of stations by November, 2019, reported on the website of state procurements.

According to  78 TV channel, the similar video surveillance system is already installed at the Sennaya Square, Grazhdansky Avenue, Dybenko Street and Ozerka metro stations. In total in St. Petersburg there are about 5.5 thousand "smart" cameras.

The Aspect Northwest company is founded in 1998 for works on design, delivery and installation of the equipment of radiation control on objects and the enterprises of North-West Region of the Russian Federation. By the end of June of the 2019th  the company actively works on development of an intelligent system of video surveillance in the subway which allows to store and systematize a videoarchive and to automatically detect the left things.

According to SPARK, "the Northwest" only in 2018 6 times won against Aspect biddings of SUE "Petersburg Metro". Total amount of contracts in 2018 was 221 million rubles, and for all the time of cooperation with the subway — 730 million rubles. In 2019 it is the first won auction.^[1]
