On June 26, 2019 it became known that Konica Minolta signed the partnership agreement with city administration of Sapporo in Japan within which it will help municipal authorities to improve a procedure for granting of public services and quicker to undertake management reforms. Konica Minolta will propose measures for improvement of processes of work due to visualization of administrative tasks.
Fast decrease in birth rate in Japan and, as a result, aging of the population (the peak is expected by 2040) was led to reduction of labor resources. As a result it becomes more difficult to local authorities to support and increase the level of providing municipal services.
Main objectives of cooperation of Konica Minolta and city administration of Sapporo – visualization of administrative tasks, improvement of a procedure for granting of public services, performance improvement, creation and development of the appearing directions of business. For achievement of goals the company is going to use information and communication technologies, to create the improved working environment, to train employees and to develop the culture of a workplace.
Within cooperation Konica Minolta will use solutions on the basis of IoT technologies (Internet of Things), making use of experience on process optimization of work and performance improvement, including on conversion of own key directions of business. The company increased labor productivity at the expense of the effective system of information exchange and robotic process automation and also created an environment which allows all employees to work far off.
Konica Minolta is ready to carry out together with city administration of Sapporo pilot demonstrations for check of efficiency of services and solutions. The company wants to make a contribution to prosperity of the city and to create other directions of business. It is possible thanks to effective use of the data obtained in the course of partnership.
