Lamoda Group upgraded corporate IT systems by means of solutions of Cisco

On July 3, 2019 the company Cisco announced upgrade of the IT system retailer Lamoda Group online by means of solutions of Cisco for network infrastructures and DPC. The constructed IT infrastructure differs in smooth operation in the conditions of the maximum load, a possibility of operational elimination of any faults and the high level of security.

In process of business development and the increasing value of digital transformation for the retail industry before Lamoda Group there was a need of creation of IT infrastructure which would help to process quicker and more effectively even more client requests and would be at the same time most unified, scaled, automated, fault-tolerant and protected. In addition, Lamoda had a need for VPN solutions which is explained by the fact that more and more staff of the company selects a remote operation mode.

Within the project on creation of IT infrastructure for Lamoda Group were constructed:

• Corporate network with the Nexus 9000 switches in a core;
• wireless network in the fulfillment-center based on Cisco WLC controllers and access points of Cisco Aironet;
• wireless network at offices based on Cisco Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) controllers and access points of Cisco Aironet;
• DPC based on the Cisco switches Nexus of series 3000 and Cisco Catalyst with the 1-gigabit access level and the 10-gigabit trunk;
• DPC based on the Cisco switches Nexus of series 9000 and Cisco Nexus of series 3000 with the 10-gigabit access level and the 40-gigabit trunk.

Besides, within the project segmentation of network was performed, Cisco firewalls are implemented, organized remote access to corporate network (VPN) using the solution Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client and the scalable protected connection of remote platforms based on FlexVPN and also defense of perimeter of network using Cisco FirePOWER firewalls is provided.
