2019: Beginning of development of SD-LAN
On July 4, 2019 it became known that Orange Business Services and Cisco jointly work on implementation of the innovative solutions which will help clients to pass from corporate local networks (LAN) to more flexible and powerful software-defined networks of SD-LAN. It will help the companies to open for itself possibilities of network connection in the safe protected environment.
Relying on joint successful experience of use of SD-WAN, Orange and Cisco within the Open Labs program begin development of SD-LAN intended for solutions of specific business challenges — when it is necessary to involve all opportunities of network automation, analytics and security. Advantages of cooperation of two companies are obvious: 80% of the enterprises use Open Lab for check of operability of the concept of SD-WAN then they unroll pilot projects of SD-WAN together with Orange Business Services.
We are sure that our partnership with Cisco and also the principles of the Open Lab program will allow us to use flexible scalable networks SD-LAN most effectively.
