2019: Attraction of 14 million investments
At the beginning of July, 2019 Belong.Life startup which is based in Tel Aviv with office New York and developing social network for cancer patients attracted $14 million investments. Taking into account this round of financing the company for the existence received from investors in total $30 million.
As reported on the website of service, Belong.Life develops the personalized and configured platform for interaction with oncological patients and carrying out researches. The startup founded in 2015 quickly turned into the world's largest social network and a navigator for patients with oncological diseases which cooperates with the leading researchers. In general in network more than 200,000 users from 105 countries are registered (by July, 2019).
Free mobile application of Belong allows oncological patients and their relatives to study a disease and to control treatment. Offering a set of the configured tools and services based on machine learning, the application can collect and send clinical information to researchers and also allows users, doctors and developers of drugs to discuss and analyze the problems connected with a disease.
AI algorithms manage recommendations and updates and automatically select communities and the specialists concerning certain types of cancer. Patients can address oncologists, radiologists, researchers and nurses or to be connected to wider social network of other users. Medical documents are stored on the shared portal, and patients who correspond to criteria of inclusion in clinical trials can receive adequate notices. Belong claims that to the middle of 2019 more than 4000 clinical trials were conducted.[1]
