In July, 2019 Samsung released tools for development of mobile blockchains-applications. As the decentralized platform the South Korean producer selected Ethereum.

The tool kit for creation of such applications received the name Samsung Blockchain SDK. It includes a full range of functions which are necessary for creation of the decentralized applications for smartphones.

Samsung Blockchain SDK will allow to create, store, manage and reserve all valid accounts of users. Besides, a set we will help to simplify payment transactions, authorization of digital signatures and also to tie users to any "cold" purses, and not just to Samsung KeyStore. 

The solution includes a payment gateway for cryptocurrencies via the user interface thanks to what costs on application development are reduced, except cases when developers have the logic of a purse, says Samsung.

By the time of start of Samsung Blockchain SDK support of applications only for the following smartphones is implemented: Galaxy S10e, S10, S10 +, S10 5G and Galaxy Fold. However the producer promises to expand the range of compatible devices.

Samsung Blockchain SDK is available in the beta in South Korea, the USA and Canada. 

Partners of Samsung will get access to additional functions from a set, for example, to specialized a blockchain browser for web applications or Android WebView for mobile versions. Also access to the history of transactions out of the Samsung Blockchain Proxy Node database, to tools will be available to them to calculation of the transaction commissions, to current exchange rates of cryptocurrencies and the additional information about ERC standard tokens.[1]

The choice of Ethereum as the platform for creation of blockchains-applications was not casual for Samsung. According to Fluence Network company, by the beginning 2019 about 87% of blockchains-applications (dApps) were based on Ethereum. 19% of programs were developed on the EOS platform and 8% as base selected Tron.
