On Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works the system of automatic control of the modes of boilers of power plants which will allow to increase efficiency of use of energy resources is put into operation and also will provide significant decrease in harmful emissions in the atmosphere. The plant reported about it on July 16, 2019. Economic effect of system implementation will be over 85 million rubles a year.
The project is implemented by specialists of management of the chief power engineer of PJSC MMK together with OSK LLC and the Southern Ural State University within a strategic initiative of MMK "the Industry 4.0". He mentioned eight boilers of the Central Power Station (CPS) and two boilers of Combined heat and power plant (combined heat and power plant). For July, 2019 works on implementation of the second queue of a system at combined heat and power plant are conducted.
With start of a system of automatic control of the modes of boilers (SAR-PK) consumption of natural gas at the enterprise will decrease and considerably reliability of operation of boilers will increase. Besides, a system provides decrease in harmful emissions (CO, NOx) in the atmosphere. The ecological effect is reached due to operational regulation and decrease in peak operation modes of the equipment at utilization of secondary energy resources.
Project payback period – less than two years. SAR-PK is a basis for development of works on further increase in efficiency of power plants of MMK due to implementation of the systems of technical and economic management on the basis of digital doubles of power units, predictive analytics and optimization modeling.
Considering high technical and economic rates of SAR-PK, specialists of PJSC MMK together with OSK LLC and R&D-центром the Magnitogorsk state technical university handle issues of application of the developed models and algorithms on technology units in which there are processes of burning, used both in PJSC MMK, and on other industrial enterprises.
