Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works completed migration of CIS on Oracle e-Business Suite v.12

On July 18, 2019 MMK announced input in commercial operation from 7/19/2019 a corporate information system based on Oracle e-Business Suite v.12.

The project is implemented within the concept "the Industry 4.0" and provides integration of information flows of the company based on the unified information system that promotes increase in business performance of Group.

From 7/1/2019 trial operation of a corporate information system based on Oracle e-Business Suite v.12 of JSC MMK-hardware and OSK LLC began.

In plans of the company implementation of an information system in machine-building division of Group of MMK – Mekhanoremontny kompleks LLC and some other the companies.

In a corporate information system of MMK not only results of financial and economic activity of the company are reflected, but also all technology chain of production, a status of work of all large camps and units, idle times and repairs of the equipment is quickly traced. It allows managers to make the most effective management decisions on the basis of a uniform source of information.

During 2018-2019 the project team integrating specialists of PJSC MMK, JSC MMK-hardware, OSK LLC, MMK-accounting Center LLC, MMP-Informservice LLC "MMK-right LLC and MRK LLC, did together with consultants of Oracle company a great job on migration on other information system, its setup, converting of data and on user training.

Implementation of CIS allowed to optimize and unify a number of business processes of Group of MMK. Optimization affected processes of management of production (continuous and discrete), stocks, repairs, purchases (including electronic marketplace), finance, personnel (including payroll), orders and sales. Thanks to integration of end-to-end information flows there was an opportunity to model business processes of the enterprise and it is better to predict results of its activity. It was succeeded to reduce significantly the number of old customizations and to implement a set of the improvements increasing operational efficiency of the company.
