MTS simplifies payments thanks to Masterpass service

2019: Connection of MasterPass service

On July 23, 2019 the Russian telecommunication operator and provider of digital services of MTS announced connection to own ecosystem of financial services of MasterPass service from MasterCard — service in safe storage of details of cards of different payment systems and banks. The innovation simplifies and accelerates online payments and transfers for users, noted in the company.

Masterpass saves users from need to enter number and validity period of the bank card at each transaction in any payment online services and online stores connected to service. For this purpose it is enough to link once the card of the payment service provider MasterCard, Maestro or Visa of any bank to the phone number. Data of cards will be stored in a cloud under protection of a security system of MasterCard.

Now after authorization on the website of MTS users can pay conveniently services and make transfers, using the cards which are earlier linked in Masterpass. Also at the time of carrying out any payment on the website of MTS the possibility of preserving of the card in Masterpass is available. At further transfers or purchases of goods and services on the numerous third-party Internet platforms connected to Masterpass it will not be required to enter details of the card again — rather just to select the necessary card from the list.

Masterpass is already available in the web version of MTS services, and the near future will be integrated into mobile applications "MTS Money" and "wash MTS".
