2019: Service start "Protection of databases"

On July 24, 2019 Megafon announced service start "Protection of databases".

In March experts in the field of cyber security recorded the mass cyber attack directed to the Russian enterprises - malefactors used IoT-devices for phishing mailing under the guise of the known brands. And at the beginning of summer there was a series of attacks on large state institutions of health sector in Russia. Cyberswindlers were interested in collecting of finance documents — the accounts and contracts for treatment. At the same time, despite increasing investments into cyber security, 70% of the companies respondents in Russia consider that solutions which they apply already became outdated, said in a research of VMware and Forbes Insights. Solutions of Megafon in the field of cyber security are addressed to the widest audience of users – from owners of smartphones to large corporate clients with the developed networks of digital interaction.

The provided Protection of Databases service is created on the software package "Garda BD". It prevents leak of confidential information and provides data protection by automatic blocking of attempts of unauthorized access to tables of databases. A system will prevent the actions of users violating the set security policy conditions. The service also allows to book audit of all transactions with the protected databases in real time, to control actions of privileged users and to prevent attempts of external invasion into management systems of databases. The complex allows to fulfill the requirements of the current legislation in the field of personal data and also requirements of the PCI DSS standard of version 3.2.1 and regulations of the Bank of Russia on requirements to ensuring data protection 382-P. Performance of a complex is more than 10 GB/sec. of the processed traffic, over 40 TB of the stored information. The solution performs quick full-text search without additional load of database management systems and business applications.
