On July 29, 2019 the company Qrator Labs specializing in counteraction DDoS-to the attacks and ensuring availability internet- resources, confirmed carrying out DDoS attack on server TV channel "Rain" on July 27, 2019 what edition of a resource announced earlier. Qrator Labs brings detailed data on the perfect attack.

From 5:08 p.m. till 7:54 p.m. Moscow time specialists of Qrator Labs recorded a series of DDoS attacks on the server of Rain. The Qrator network successfully filtered illegitimate traffic, having blocked about 800 IP addresses. The attacks were organized on the level of applications (L7), speed in dive reached 2 gigabits per second. The website of Rain at the same time was constantly available to visitors.

The similar attacks are quite often made both on media, and on financial institutions, e-commerce sites and other Internet resources. Though speeds of many modern attacks already reach several terabits per second and can exceed the indicators registered during the attack on July 27 in one thousand times, the attacks of the application layer are dangerous that they create load not only of communication channels, but also directly on a hosting servers of the websites.
