On August 5, 2019 the ITLand company reported that Severstal Project increases efficiency of project management using "1C:ERP+PM Management of project organization 2".

According to the company, on a decision instant about upgrade of a project management system, accounting, tax, project and management accounting was kept in a system "by 1C: Management of the project organization". Planning of loading of employees, accounting of working schedules and project implementation were performed in separate applications and systems. The lack of a common information space for work of employees regarding planning of schedules, income of projects and terms of accomplishment of tasks caused difficulties and reduced efficiency of formation of necessary reports.

With respect thereto in 2018 the decision on system implementation "was made 1C: ERP+PM Management of project organization 2", developed based on "1C: ERP Enterprise Management". A system is logical development "1C: Management of the project organization" also gives additional opportunities for project management and accounting.

Implementation "1C:ERP+PM Management of project organization 2" pursued the following aims:

  • Creation of a common information space on the platform giving the chance in the future to develop and improve an information system.
  • The organization of a common information space for control of the following blocks:
    • Project management (terms, labor costs, finance);
    • Budgeting;
    • the Regulated and management accounting.

  • Regulation of project activity of the enterprise for management of profitability and effective implementation of agreement obligations.
  • Formation of the operational management reporting.

For project implementation the working group into which specialists Severstal Project, Severstal-Infokom Soft and ITLand entered was created.

Within the project specialists of ITLand performed the following works:

  • System design:
    • Description of business processes and detection of functional user requirements;
    • Inspection of the used information systems regarding integration with them or their replacements;
    • Modelling on a standard system;
    • Development of the report on design of an information system.

  • Start of a subsystem "PM. Project management of" system "1C:ERP+PM Management of project organization 2":

    • Transfer of the normative reference information from "1C: Management of the project organization";
    • Transfer of the current projects from "MS Project";
    • Modification of a subsystem "PM. Project management" according to user requirements;
    • Development of the mechanism of payroll distribution on projects in management accounting;
    • Development of instructions of users;
    • User training;
    • Start in operation.

Start of a subsystem "PM. Project management" in commercial operation took place on April 1, 2019. Consulting support is given by specialists of ITLand company. During the project the following processes are automated:

  • Finance, management accounting, monitoring of indicators;
  • Management of portfolios and programs of projects;
  • Project management;
  • Management of loading of labor resources;
  • Accounting of economic project activities;
  • The analysis of activity by projects;
  • Project planning;
  • Analysis of KPI of the project organization;
  • Payroll distribution on projects;
  • The notification of users about events on projects;
  • Time recording;
  • Accounting of agreements.

About 400 jobs, users of a system are automated:

  • Project office;
  • Contractual department;
  • Production departments and groups;
  • Financial and economic department.

In plans further modification of a subsystem "PM. Project management" according to user requirements and also start of a subsystem Budgeting of a system "1C:ERP+PM Management of project organization 2".
