2019: Project completion on support of IT infrastructure

On August 6, 2019 the ICL Services company reported that it completed the project on support of IT infrastructure in Renaissance Capital.

According to the company, according to the strategy of the Renaissance Capital company directed to increase in efficiency of IT processes external suppliers of services, including the ICL Services command were attracted.

The main objectives for ICL Services became:

  • provide monitoring of components of infrastructure and applications (including specific banking products which monitoring should be performed according to accurately certain procedures according to the schedule);
  • provide high-quality support of servers, databases, monitoring systems according to the set criteria;
  • provide implementation of necessary changes in IT infrastructure through participation and projects implementation;

In addition to providing service on support of IT infrastructure ICL Services was faced by tasks of accomplishment of project works that meant operational selection of additional engineers and architects.

Project objectives was:

  • Monitoring of infrastructure and applications (including special products which monitoring should be performed according to accurately certain procedures according to the schedule)
  • Support of Windows of servers/clusters
  • Support of UNIX of servers/clusters
  • Support DBMS MS SQL/Oracle
  • Support of MS SCOM of infrastructure

Formation of idea of approaches to the organization of providing efficient service became the first step in project implementation on support of IT infrastructure. Having begun with services of monitoring, ICL Services was transferred support on such technology the direction as Wintel and the MS SQL Data Base. Having carried out the analysis of infrastructure, the areas requiring optimization were revealed (MS SCOM, MS SCSM, the Data Base). Specialists of ICL Services offered options of improvement of a status of infrastructure and together with a command Renaissance Capital started implementation of the drawn-up plans.

The ICL Services command showed the opportunities regarding providing not only services of monitoring, but also services in support of infrastructure that allowed to make Renaissance Capital the decision on transfer to ICL Services of additional volumes of services, such as support of UNIX of servers, Oracle databases and also MS SCOM infrastructures. Besides, volumes of service in the Wintel and MS SQL direction were in addition increased. At the same time much attention was paid to observance of requirements of information security since it is caused by risks and regulatory restrictions which arise at the company in the course of transfer of these or those IT services on outsourcing. In work with Renaissance Capital used the two-factor authentication offered by the company for access to infrastructure.

As a result of cooperation with ICL Services Renaissance Capital received service in several technology directions: Wintel, Unix, the Data Base, MS SCOM according to the agreement on the level of provision of services. Monitoring system operation was optimized. Besides, stability of the MS SQL and Oracle systems due to pro-active work on identification of problems was increased.

ICL Services provided the timely and qualitative solution of incidents that allowed to increase availability of infrastructure of the company that is crucial for business.

In support of ICL Services there is an equipment constructed on difficult technological solutions, providing working capacity, including, systems, crucial for business:

  • total quantity of servers – 30;
  • total quantity of databases – 150;
  • quantity of the hosts serviced by MS SCOM infrastructure - 245.

The ICL Services command also implemented a number of infrastructure projects, such as migration of infrastructure of the customer on oblakoms by Azure and also migration of the back-office Calypso system on version 15 along with increase in the version of Oracle DBMS to version 12.

The following products and technologies were used:

  • OS Windows Server 2012/2012R2/2016
  • UNIX RedHat OS (RHEL 7.3)
  • MS SQL of 2005/2008 r2
  • Oracle 11, 12
  • MS SCOM

For August, 2019:

  • The number of the fulfilled incidents in a year: more than three thousand
  • Percent of the incidents taken in hand in time: more than 98%
  • Percent in time the solved incidents: more than 99%

During the project the following services were provided:

  • Support and service of servers
  • Support of databases
  • Migration of server and client OS and DBMS
  • Complex monitoring of IT infrastructure

2015: Project of "hybrid outsourcing" of support of IT infrastructure

On June 26, 2015 it became known of the project of "hybrid outsourcing" of support of IT infrastructure implemented by request Renaissance Capital by ICL Services company[1].

Project Progress

The foundation for the project support of IT infrastructure was laid by formation of idea of approaches to the organization of delivery of efficient service. Since services of monitoring, ICL Services was transferred support of the technology Wintel directions and the MS SQL database.

Analyzing infrastructure, experts revealed the areas requiring optimization (MS SCOM MS SCSM databases). Specialists ICL Services offered options of upgrade of infrastructure.

Project Results

The project is implemented from January to May, 2015 in time. As a result of actions of a command ICL Services regarding provision of services of monitoring and support of infrastructure, in Renaissance Capital made the decision on transfer to the acting contractor of additional volumes of services of support UNIX- servers, databases Oracle, infrastructure MS SCOM. In addition increased volumes of service in the direction Wintel and MS SQL.

Implementing the project together with the contractor, Renaissance Capital came to interaction model at which a part of IT infrastructure is supported by own forces, and another is transferred to outsourcing to experts of ICL Services company.

In the course of interaction with ICL Services Renaissance Capital received high-quality service in several technology directions:

  • Wintel,
  • Unix,
  • databases,
  • MS SCOM according to the agreement on the level of provision of services.
  • monitoring system operation is optimized.
  • stability of systems MS SQL and Oracle due to preventive identification of incidents is increased.
