2019: Electric power distribution system implementation
On August 20, 2019 the ABB company reported that it implemented a power distribution system based on the digital solution ABB Ability Electrical Distribution Control System (EDCS) at the enterprise of La Riseria company within the actions for ensuring sustainable development. The solution became a part of the planned reconstruction and expansion of the rice plant, first object with such digital system from ABB in Switzerland.
According to the company, the EDCS system represents the cloud software solution which executes record, the analysis and optimization of power flows within the system of power supply. Operators of the plant can receive
The La Riseria company charged to Quadranti Bruno e Figlio company integrator to install the ABB Ability EDCS system both for a production facility, and for construction infrastructure in general.
For connection of the low-voltage complete device (LVCD) to the solution EDCS there are two options: the solution integrated by a Plug and Play connected through vtychny the module Ekip Com Hub for the main time cut-out Emax 2 or the external execution connected via the module Ekip E-Hub installed on a DIN rail. A system executes collecting of necessary data on work of an electric unit and their transfer to a cloud. The La Riseria company preferred to use integrated solution and, with assistance of consultants of ABB, the Quadranti company implemented it with hardly any trouble at all.
In the summer of 2018 two NKU which part two Emax 2 air circuit-breakers and also tens of Tmax T4 and T5 switches in the cast body were were set and put into operation. Also in boards there are managing modules and sensors for control of electrical circuits of CMS-700 system.
The plant on processing of rice will extend and undergo reconstruction in 2019. For August, 2019 two NKU provide power supply of the existing process systems.
For us it is experience in measurement of energy consumption using the solution EDCS – the solution allows to analyze and register electricity consumption at the existing plant. When the updated production line is brought into operation, we will be able to use as much as possible its potential on energy saving using EDCS. On the graphics display I can observe with very high extent of detailing where and how many the electric power is consumed on all plant.
