47 people are killed in one district of Cape Town for days off

For some days off in August, 2019 in Keyp-Flets (the district of Cape Town) 47 people, despite introduction of troops were killed three weeks ago.

The army was sent for patrol in Keyp-Flets in attempt to constrain promptly increased crime rate.

In Cape Town the tourist from Ukraine is killed

In July, 2019 the Western Keyp's police reported that the Ukrainian tourist on walk in National park the Table mountain in Haut-Bae was killed during robbery. The 44-year-old man died on the spot around 11 a.m. near East fort, coastal strengthening on popular Chapman Pik Drive.

History

1647: Seamen from Holland after ship-wreck look after the place for port

In 1647  the seamen who survived in ship-wreck of the Dutch Harlem ship  lived about a year ashore and  entered into the relations with  local population. Having returned to  Holland, they told about  favorable conditions in  these regions and   after a while Dutches returned to construct here seaport. It is considered that  quite so and  the city of Cape Town appeared.

In July, 2019 specialists from  the African institute of sea and  underwater researches, investigations and  educations (Aimure, the Republic of South Africa) declared  an important archeological find.  According to researchers, they found parts of the Dutch Harlem ship which sank at  coast of the Republic of South Africa in  1647. This ship-wreck was recognized one of  turning points  in the history of the country.

Doctor Bruno Verts is the chief archeologist of the project and  since  1989 browses historical cards and  documents of the expected area of the crash of Harlem.

Researchers detected parts of the ship near  the coast in  Cape Town at   a depth about four meters.  According to scientists, it is very important find for  the whole country, exactly thanks to the accident which occurred in  the 17th century the city of Cape Town appeared.
