The airport appeared 3D - scanners thanks to which will withdraw ban on transportation of liquids

On August 25, 2019 it became known that in Britain intend to withdraw ban on transportation of liquids in the airplane thanks to new 3D - to baggage scanners. Such equipment at first was installed at the London airport "Heathrow".

According to BBC, a system is similar to the KT-devices used in hospitals. She allows employees of security services to consider more accurately baggage contents and also to increase and turn the image at examination. It is expected that 3D - scanners will raise the security level of the airports and will accelerate checks.

The British government says that new scanners will allow to reduce time which is required on security control passing and also it is essential to reduce number of plastic bags and packets in which clients should place liquids before examination now. Besides, the procedure will become less intense for passengers, the Minister of Transport Grent Shepps noted.

Only one airport "Heathrow" is going to spend about 50 million pounds sterling ($61.4 million) for full-scale start of technology. The British authorities want to equip 3D - scanners all main airports of the country until the end of 2022.

By the end of August, 2019 at most the airports of the world restrictions for liquid transportation work. According to customs rules of some European Union countries, it is possible to take tanks no more than 100 ml aboard the plane. In total one passenger is allowed to take no more than 1000 ml of liquid. They need to be packed into one transparent plastic packet of 20 cm x 20 cm in size and to show to security service specialists of the airport.

Restrictions for transportation of liquids were onboard introduced after the British police in 2006 prevented terrorist attack which was wanted to be carried out, using the explosives disguised under bottles with drinks.[1]
