2020: Detention in the framework of a criminal case on the theft of 40 million rubles

In July 2020, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education Marina Lukashevich was detained as part of a criminal investigation into the theft of more than 40 million rubles.

Together with her, an official of Rossotrudnichestvo Mikhail Popov appears in the case, the police opened a criminal case of fraud.

In 2016, the head of a commercial organization, having received budget funds, concluded a number of agreements with individual entrepreneurs controlled to carry out work in the interests of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, while having no intention of fulfilling the obligations undertaken in full.

"Then the customer was presented with the results of the work, which obviously did not comply with the terms of the contracts. The acceptance was carried out by an accomplice of the suspect, who held a senior position in the department. Thus, the ministry suffered damage in the amount of more than 40 million rubles, "said the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Irina Volk.

2022: Theft of funds from a card while in jail

In January 2022, it became known that the ex-deputy minister of science and higher education Marina Lukashevich was robbed of 3.5 million rubles while she was sitting in pre-trial detention center No.  6 Moskva  Pechatniki. 

Her lawyer contacted the police.  Women fraudulently stole 3.5 million rubles from a bank card.  Usually phones with banking applications are seized by the police, and they already do what they want with them.
