2019: Integration with a management system for farms of Skov FarmOnline Explorer
On August 30, 2019 the WaveAccess company reported that the Danish company SKOV A/S integrated the analytical Episcope platform into the management system for farms of FarmOnline Explorer (FOX).
As noted in WaveAccess, the FarmOnline Explorer system opens for farmers access to digital-services on its basis. The analytical Episcope platform created based on FOX allows to trace and analyze parameters of efficiency of a farm and also to predict production indicators, deriving a benefit maximum from the saved-up data arrays. For August, 2019 as a part of Episcope – three services: benchmarking, the notification about a deviation of parameters from regulation and also prediction of optimal weight of animals using artificial intelligence technologies (machine learning).
According to the developer, using technology of Internet of Things, the benchmarking-application of Episcope allows livestock farms to compare anonymously the indicators to other farms worldwide. The sensors installed in premises of a farm fix the production indicators given on consumption of a forage and climate (including temperature, humidity, pressure) and other indicators. After the controller collects and accumulates the received parameters, the system of FOX transfers them to Microsoft Azure cloud where they are calculated, aggregated and filtered previously. Integrating and structuring data retrieveds, Episcope provides them to farmers in a convenient and interactive type. For each type of parameters the form is provided, each indicator can be studied in detail and to analyze on a time line. As of August, 2019 the.NET-application is available online on any device in 8 languages.
Contrastive analysis of key metrics, information on a deviation of indicators and forecasting of weight allow farmers to make more conscious and justified management decisions: control the conditions optimal for cultivation of animals, to manage effectively resources and provide an investment payback. As result – the increase in productivity of farms, expense reduction, the predicted income and minimization of negative impact on ecology, claim in WaveAccess.
"Episcope helps to realize and use the boundless potential of IoT technologies and machine learning for agriculture. We offer farmers an opportunity to dispose competently of data and to use them most effectively", 'Esper Riis, the project manager of SKOV noted' |
"In Europe and the USA active implementation the practician of digital farming – the tools and services designed to raise figures of merit of products and profitability, to minimize environmental damage is observed. Episcope is an example of how the IoT tools and machine learning in a cloud of Microsoft Azure can make hi-tech even such conservative industry as agriculture. We will take part in development of the solutions SKOV and we will continue collaboration in expansion of functionality Episcope and also creation of new digital-tools", |
"Support of this project as it provides a substantial contribution to digital transformation of the industry of agriculture is very important for Microsoft and also shows the high potential of the innovative technologies, such as artificial intelligence and Internet of Things, for business in this sphere", |
