2019: A pilot project on electricity metering optimization "Intellectual accounting"
On September 2, 2019 the Beeline company announced the pilot project implemented together with Stroyenergokom LLC company on electricity metering optimization "Intellectual accounting" using NB-IoT for JSC Mosenergosbyt near Maryino.
"Intellectual accounting" assumes upgrade of a system of accounting of the electric power thanks to direct data exchange between apartment counters and the system of billing of the guaranteeing electricity provider. Within trial operation of the program one of houses of "The smart quarter" was transferred to such M2M-system, having built in special modems of the NB-IoT standard (Narrow Band Internet of Things) under a cover of already installed devices. For September, 2019 data from 140 counters of the electric power come directly to the system of billing of JSC Mosenergosbyt from where accounts to inhabitants of the house form.
Direct transmission of data will allow to pass from the three-level ASCEM (Automatic System of Commercial Electricity Metering) system to two-level. According to preliminary estimates, such simplification of a system reduces cost value of installation of elements of a data collection system by 20%. Building in NB-IoT standard modems, it is possible to upgrade the current park of counters and to scale the program to 100,000,000 "smart" devices which will be able to correspond to a number of the minimum requirements to the intelligent device determined by Federal law No. 522.
Obtaining data, the sales company does processes of collecting of indications from metering devices and formation of accounts by much more transparent, can predict consumption of the subscribers, offer optimal rates and save users from need of monthly transfer of indications manually. Further development of systems will allow to broadcast data from devices in personal accounts of owners of apartments on city portals or in GIS of housing and public utilities where they will be able to trace indications of the metering devices in real time.
The created system completely meets the existing requirements of JSC Mosenergosbyt to such systems of collecting and accounting of indications from metering devices.
"We executed a package of measures for upgrade of the existing single-phase metering devices of consumers and their integration into the ASCAPC system of the sales company that the turned-out system was easily adapted to accomplishment 522-FZ. Special modems under a cover of the electric power metering device, most widespread in the Moscow region, – multitariff Mercury 200.02 were installed. The modem does not require any visual upgrade of the device, and is put under a standard terminal cover and sealed up. Thus the high level of a vandaloustoychivost and efficiency of a system is reached, if there are no additional wires, then it is impossible to damage or be implemented into a technology communication channel of a data collection system. Data from metering devices of the electric power come to the ASCAPC system of JSC Mosenergosbyt each hour that completely provides needs of the sales company on existence of up-to-date information about energy consumption and to creation of relevant balances. Earlier Beeline signed the agreement with the Moscow Department of Information Technology on joint development of communication services and information telecommunication technologies in the city. Under the terms of the agreement, Beeline with assistance of DIT of Moscow will start implementation of pilot projects in the field of virtual and augmented reality, Internet of Things and the concept of the smart city. A task of such projects – to create the comfortable urban environment, including due to service improvement of housing and public utilities.
