Cognitive Technologies developed the system of computer vision for Hyundai Mobis

2019: Completion of development of a software module for active security and autonomous driving

On August 30, 2019 it became known of that, the company Cognitive Technologies and Hyundai Mobis, announced completion of development of a software module for active security and autonomous driving computer vision (system).

As it was reported, the software module developed within the project based on technologies of computer vision of Cognitive Technologies company is capable to distinguish different objects of a road scene, such as cars, buses, motorcyclists, cyclists and pedestrians. The main technologies used when developing the module are neural networks of deep learning which provide to a system the necessary accuracy of recognition.

We solved problems of recognition of participants of traffic with a high accuracy, including cyclists, motorcyclists and pedestrians – objects of the objects which do not have the permanent form and also partially closed. A system works under trying conditions: rain, snow, fog, dazzle by the sun, driving at night, departure from a tunnel, etc. At the same time the practices executed in severe Russian realities where we perfected our algorithms very much were useful to us. We have a number of agreements with the leading global car makers and suppliers of components, and we expect to get from them permission to announcement of our joint developments as in the field of creation of an auto pilot for land transport in the nearest future, and on use of 4D-radars of the next generation for control of UAVs. Works under this agreement began in the middle of 2018 and were complete in April, 2019.
