Talmer constructed a private cloud for Metalloinvest

2019: Deployment of a private cloud

On September 4, 2019 TALMER company announced end of the first stage of the project on implementation of technologies of a private cloud for Metalloinvest company. In a project deliverable the customer received the platform of management of computing resources of the enterprise with a possibility of self-service of clients in an order type of services via the portal.

Project implementation was directed to the solution of several key tasks of Metalloinvest company:

• automation of IT transactions
• reduction of operating costs
• reduction of time of selection of computing resources.

Products became technical base for deployment of a private cloud: Red Hat CloudForms, Red Hat Ansible Tower, Red Hat Satellite.

Technical requirements to the developed system were created by JSA Group, integrator exercising control and information technology development of Metalloinvest Group. Key functional requirements became:

• the automated deployment, removal and configuration of services
• existence of a self-service portal for users
• management and monitoring of infrastructure from the single console
• an opportunity to trace the cost of the resources requested under the project
• the centralized updating and management of subscriptions in SAP infrastructure.

In the project progress specialists of TALMER and JSA Group prepared and unrolled Wednesday on the customer's infrastructure and also executed a complex of necessary completions regarding automation of process of selection of resources and a configuration of service in the course of deployment.

The software platform with a set of functionality for media control of virtual servers, control of use of computing powers, quoting of resources, automation of configuring of server and network equipment, management and control of settings at the level of operating systems became result of project works.
