Russian Towers and City administration Kronstadt will provide the city with telecom infrastructure

2019: The agreement on cooperation in the field of development of information and telecommunication infrastructure

On September 12, 2019 the Russian Towers company reported that it signed the agreement on cooperation with Administration of Kronshtadtsky District of St. Petersburg in the field of development of information and telecommunication infrastructure in the territory of the city. Within implementation of the agreement the working group with participation of Russian Towers company, District Administration and representatives of committees of St. Petersburg - the Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture, Committee on State Control, Use and Protection of Historical and Cultural Landmarks, Committee on informatization and communication was created.

According to the company, for the purpose of determination of need of the area for development of mobile communication the sociological research and also the drive tests of signal quality of all federal telecom operators was conducted. The conducted researches revealed considerable lag of the area from modern standards of a covering. The best solution was recognized not to create separate objects of communication, and to create a complex covering of the area telecommunication infrastructure.

Especially for Kronstadt specialists of Russian Towers developed the technological solution of low support, to the requirements of city committees meeting all. A number of support is going to be equipped additional functional with opportunities for inhabitants and guests of the island - shops, dashboards and also stations for charging of phones.

For September, 2019 the works on the first, preparatory stage of the project are completed. Till December, 2019 input in a system already more than 20 base stations of telecom operators is planned. Based on project implementation the signal of communication and data transmission of all telecom operators of the region will qualitatively improve. The infrastructure created by the TV set is ready for conducting testing of communication of standard 5G.

Participants of the working group consider the possibility of providing a technological and organizational capability of placement on objects of Russian Towers of the equipment increasing security of the urban environment – cameras video surveillances, sensors of DPC, monitoring of weather and ecological situation.

After project implementation in a historical part of Kronstadt the Russian Towers group is going to develop the project on providing with the TV set with infrastructure the 18th quarter of the island.
