Prerequisites of the Project
- need for the effective tool for operational planning of delivery routes;
- lack of a possibility of comparison plan fact and control of visit of points;
- complexity of resource management taking into account seasonality;
- lack of an automated system of planning and control of routes;
- influence of a human factor on planning of routes and control of their accomplishment.
To fix the above-stated problems, the company management made the decision to implement management system for transport ABM Rinkai.
Project Objective
- automate planning process of routes and minimize influence of a human factor for fall forward and the accuracy of planning process of routes;
- increase in efficiency of use of motor transport;
- decrease in transportation costs;
- increase in efficiency of control of observance of routes due to automatic comparison of a planned and actual route.
Results and effects
Automation of planning process of routes, control of their accomplishment and efficiency evaluation became the main project deliverable. Planning time was significantly reduced. In a warehouse the priority of loading of cars proceeding from the made routes is created and also in the route sheet the accurate order of visit of clients is specified.
Project Results:
- planning process automation;
- decrease in transportation costs more than for 21%;
- reduction of number of cars for the product delivery for 26%;
- decrease in planned distance in kilometers by 22%;
- increase in level of delivery service;
- formation of routes with an accurate order of visit of points and estimated time of setting on loading, departure from a warehouse, arrival to the client and arrival on a warehouse.
Effects of implementation of ABM Rinkai TMS:
- Average loading of cars on weight increased by 10%;
- The quantity of points in a route is increased by 29%;
- Expenses on delivery of 1 kg of products on 14% are cut down;
- The quantity of the exported products is increased by 1 km for 22%.
