In the middle of September, 2019 the division of DePuy Synthes of Johnson & Johnson company announced start of a knee endoprosthesis of Attune with bestsementny fixing. Innovation will go on sale in several countries at once.

The new endoprosthesis combines the patented Attune technologies developed for stabilization during the movement, and technology of bestsementny fixing. The new endoprosthesis of Attune has the kinematic characteristics comparable to indicators of this class of prostheses, but technologies of bestsementny fixing are considered as more suitable option for young and active patients. They can remain active within many decades, and the last researches show that knee endoprostheses with bestsementny fixing are characterized by high and long-term strength.

The patented Attune technologies designed to improve functional characteristics of an endoprosthesis include Attune Gradius Curve which provides stability in all range of movements, and a joint of GlideRight most of which precisely reproduces a normal ratio between a patella and a femur.

The vice president of DePuy Synthes Rajit Kamal hoped that the new prosthesis will satisfy basic needs of patients and will help young people to return to active lifestyle. To start DePuy Synthes she intends to release a knee endoprosthesis of Attune with bestsementny fixing in the USA, some countries of Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Further the company is going to expand the market. The knee endoprosthesis of Attune will be available in several configurations: in the form of construction with the rotating platform and also in the form of hybrid construction (not cemented femoral component with the cemented fixed basis).[1]
