On September 12, 2019 the Audi company within the Frankfurt motor show provided the electric vehicle Audi AI: Trail which distinctive feature was a lack of headlights. They are replaced by five triangular drones with the integral LED elements. They will fly in front of machine and to highlight the road and also to transfer to the display before the driver the image from the built-in cameras. At the same time on a roof UAVs can be docked to inductive charging.

As the German car maker claims, the SUV is capable to pass without recharge to 500 km on the asphalted route and up to 250 km on the cross-country terrain. The machine is supplied with the system of an auto pilot which, however, works only at roads with a standard marking – on lack of roads it is necessary to go only in the manual mode.

Pressure in buses is regulated automatically, allowing to change a contact spot for different coverings. The artificial intelligence with self-training function which is capable to interact both with the environment, and with passengers is also implemented.

Vehicle dimensions following: length – 4150 mm, width – 2150 mm, height – 1670 mm. Innovation is shorter, but is wider also above the Audi Q2 crossover. Road makes considerable 340 mm for the account including uses of 22-inch wheels with tires 850 millimeters wide. With such clearance of Audi AI: Trail will be able to overcome fords depth to a half a meter.

On each wheel is established to about one electric motor that in the amount gives the power of 435 hp and 1000 N · m of a torsional moment. Maximum speed is stated small — 130 km/h.

It is interesting also that the windshield and a back door open, providing access to departments for things. Dirty are stored in the special compartment which is built in a rear bumper. Thresholds work as the cleaning-up footboards, facilitating loading of a luggage carrier on a roof.[1]
