2019: Start of the platform for development of business applications of Cartridge
On September 13, 2019 Mail.ru Group announced start of the platform for development of business applications of Cartridge. This Cartridge platform will save developers from the solution of infrastructure problems, will allow to simplify and reduce the price of development processes and operation of services based on Tarantool. Also there was an expanded web interface for the platform which allows to administer easily a Tarantool-cluster.
The product contains ready tools for the solution of standard problems of management of a cluster, testings, packagings, deploya and scalings. In development of Cartridge automates routine transactions and allows one command to create the project from a template, to start tests, to pack ready applications and to develop a cluster. Besides, the platform automatically manages a cluster configuration, replication and scaling.
Cartridge reduces an input threshold in Tarantool, giving the chance to developers to be focused on writing of business logic and not to care for the solution of infrastructure tasks. Use of Cartridge allows to reduce considerably costs for development and operation of services based on Tarantool.
For September, 2019 the Tarantool Cartridge platform is already available to users.
