Panasonic provided with the protected Toughbook notebooks a research expedition "Under a pole of III"

2019: Implementation of Toughbook notebooks

On August 27, 2019 the company Panasonic reported that it provided notebooks Toughbook a research expedition "Under a pole of III" (Under the Pole III).

According to the company, Panasonic gave technical support to the Under a Pole project from its start in 2010. This year partnership was renewed once again to provide crew and scientists with the IT equipment for work in severe conditions of the polar seas of the Arctic and Antarctic. For August, 2019 onboard the research vessel Why Toughbook CF-33 notebooks which ensure smooth operation of the navigation software, record of all obtained scientific data are used and also allow to execute surveys during the expedition. Besides, with their help the crew can be connected to the satellite Iridium system for sending and data acquisition which have basic value for security of a command and also progress and success of all mission.

For such expeditions as "Under a pole" reliable computers are necessary. Daily our equipment passes the most serious strength tests. Divers should deal with temperatures below -1 °C under water also –30 °C out of water. Thanks to the high security Toughbook CF-33 can maintain extreme temperatures, blows, strong vibration and high humidity.
