Rostelecom upgrades the Central archive of medical images in North Ossetia

2019: Upgrade of TsAMI

On September 18, 2019 the Rostelecom South company reported that it upgrades the Central archive of medical images in North Ossetia. Employees of a campaign develop IT infrastructure which will provide access to service for all medical institutions of the republic.

The Central Archive of Medical Images (CAMI) is intended for automation of work of diagnostic services of medical institutions. With its help doctors can store graphic data, exchange them and hold remote consultations within a uniform information technology platform.

Due to territorial arrangement, remote from most medical institutions, access to archive was complicated earlier. After specialists of Rostelecom improve a subsystem of TsAMI – the Uniform medical information and analytical system, doctors from all region will have an opportunity to work quickly with archive. The solution, developed on the basis of "cloud" technologies, stabilizes communication channels and data transmission and also will increase data protection level due to use of modern technologies of cyber security.

With the republican Ministry of Health we already implemented several joint projects. Under the present contract Rostelecom provided to the Ministry of Health a cloud solution which is adapted for work in the conditions of slow or unstable communication channels. For ensuring the guaranteed delivery of images in the central server special development – in case of loss of communication is used or at frequent ruptures of connection work of doctors is not interrupted that is very important at remote consultations, "'told Andrey Popov, the associate director of the North Ossetian branch PJSC Rostelecom on work with corporate and state segments

Implementation of this program, certainly, will increase availability and quality of medical services. TsAMI allows to create history of researches of diseases of the patient for the subsequent use in treatment or transfers to other information bases. A system gives the chance of carrying out operational consultations of urgent and complex cases, increases quality of diagnostics, also many other things allow to resolve personnel problems, noted Elena Gireeva, the Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of North Ossetia

2018: Connection to health facilities to the Internet in 45 rural points

Rostelecom in a complex develops telecom infrastructure for a republic health care system. In 2018 specialists of the company completed the works on connection to the Internet of treatment and prevention facilities in 45 rural settlements of North Ossetia. Within the public contract with the Ministry of digital development, communication and mass communications specialists of the company constructed about 70 km of fiber lines of communication in the territory of the republic.
