In St. Petersburg the pilot project of the innovation crosswalk is implemented

2019: Pilot project of the innovation pedestrian transition

On September 18, 2019 the ER-Telecom Holding company reported that, together with SPb GKU "Directorate on the organization of traffic of St. Petersburg" and SPb provided to State Budgetary Institution Lensvet in the Northern Capital a pilot project of the first innovation crosswalk. The developed solution will provide significant decrease in number of the road accidents with participation of pedestrians in a zone of the non-regulated crosswalk at night.

LED lamp

The pilot project is started to the address Stachek Avenue, 91.

LED lamps are equipped with a special optical system which allows to light and select the pedestrian in the vertical plane with the directed luminous flux with the maximum coefficient of a color rendition according to the most strict requirements against the background of a surrounding landscape that will allow drivers of vehicles to see beforehand the pedestrian and it is safe to pass it.

The used lighting equipment is equipped with monitoring systems and managements based on technology of Internet of Things. Monitoring of a system is performed from the automated workplace of the manager and provides serviceability check of lighting systems of crosswalks within all city.
