2019: Commissioning of the accelerator of electrons for radiation defectoscopy of the nuclear power equipment
On September 19, 2019 the Ruselectronics Holding of State Corporation Rostec reported that it put into operation the accelerator of electrons for radiation defectoscopy of the nuclear power equipment. Creating the qualitative image with high spatial resolution, development allows by method of non-destructive testing to detect in metal of a crack, a cavity, foreign particulates, inhomogeneity of material and other hidden defects.
As an ionizing radiation source in the defectoscope the accelerator of electrons developed by NPP Tory (enters into Ruselectronics) together with Laboratory of electronic accelerators of MSU is used. The equipment differs from analogs in a possibility of setup of optimal parameters of radiation depending on characteristics of a controlled object. Operation of the equipment is controlled by the operator using a control panel, and diagnostics of faults can be performed on communication lines remotely.
Use of accelerators of electrons allows to make non-destructive radiographic testing of weld joints and metal up to 500 mm thick in a steel equivalent that is the most effective for large-size products. Also on this platform the equipment and with other values of the minimum and maximum energy – depending on requirements of the customer can be issued. We are ready to offer the equipment for radiation defectoscopy to the enterprises of the chemical, ship-building, raketostroitelny, oil and gas industry". noted the CEO of NPP Tory Dmitry Trofimov
