2019: Creation of the program

In September, 2019 became about creation in Russia of the program Avtomontazh which is capable to remove and mount video independently.  It is developed in "Industrial Systems of Stream Data Processing" (ISSDP) laboratory of the NTI Center of Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU) with the assistance of Lektorium LLC.

According to RIA Novosti, the solution includes two subsystems:

  • Avtoslayd (combines a video lecture with presentation materials);
  • "Automatic manipulator" (independently mounts a video lecture with the suitable plan and a foreshortening).

The idea of development is in  automatically to combine video and  the lecturer's presentation  — both files are loaded into  a system, and  the neural network independently defines what slide is shown  at a given time, and  replaces it  with the picture suitable by the size from  the original presentation.

Russia created a system which shoots and mounts video

Besides, it is possible to remove video lectures without participation of the operator.  The cameras placed in audience make a plan vista, record is loaded into  the program which defines a fissile region of display and  location of the lecturer then frames the picture.

The cooperation of Polytechnic University with Lektorium begun with assistance of Fund of assistance to innovations by September, 2019 continues in the independent mode. The command is going to finish algorithms and software tools for a subsystem of Automatic manipulator and discusses further interaction on development of remote education and production of video lectures. Lektorium already uses a system during creation of video lectures.

Many colleagues became interested in our development because now all online platforms work on decrease in labor input and manufacturing cost of video lectures — the engineer of PSPOD laboratory Alexey Gintsyak explained.[1]
