2019: Creation of a video surveillance system

On September 24, 2019 Rostelecom South reported that it won the contract for creation of an intelligent system of municipal video surveillance in the capital of North Ossetia. Under the terms of the agreement till November, 2019 the company will execute construction and commissioning, will set and will connect 400 video cameras located in all districts of the city to the infrastructure.

This system is created within the Smart City project for providing the high level of safety of citizens. The video system is intelligent, it will allow not only to perform the centralized collecting, storage and information processing from objects of video surveillance, but also to carry out analytics. Access to it will be got by representatives of law enforcement agencies: UFSB, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Emergency Situations. It is an effective protective boundary which will work 24 hours a day, considers Beriyev, the head of department of information technologies and communications of AMS of Vladikavkaz Is banished

According to the director of the North Ossetian branch PJSC Rostelecom Evgeny Galtsev, in the republic the similar joint project is implemented for the first time.

A system saves records up to 100 days in the protected data processing centers of Rostelecom, carries out monitoring of work of municipal services, exercises control of a situation in the city. In the long term based on the created infrastructure the video surveillance system in kindergartens, schools and on other social objects can be organized that will allow to increase safety of children, will help at the solution of conflict situations, - he says.

Infrastructure under the project is under construction as a part of telecommunication network at the expense of own investment company funds.
