2019: Announcement
At the end of September, 2019 Sony provided software for medical visualization with support 4K under the name NUCLeUS.
New should provide to software more convenient workflow of image processing and sending any visual information to any location of hospital at any time. The improved parameters of routing and viewing images simplify accomplishment of surgeries at all stages, from planning to postoperative bypasses of patients. NUCLeUS supports a set of formats and standards, including permission 4K.
The NUCLeUS system was developed on the basis of technologies of Sony for image processing and also at works of eSATURNUS, the Belgian company purchased by Sony in 2016 which developed software for transfer of medical videos. Completely scalable technology can be used as with normal, so with fiber optic IP networks that does it by ideal option for operating rooms and allows to develop it in other premises or buildings of hospital at any time.
A system can write and process high-quality videos and audio material almost in real time. It is supposed that this function will provide acceptance of more reasoned decisions, and specially developed control panel will simplify workflows in operating rooms and laboratories, providing quick access to the relevant data.
Software provides cost-efficient network content management of medical images thanks to optimization of workflows. The platform supports third-party applications and allows to work with tools of other producers, providing idle time and secure access from any point of network of hospital. Besides, the secure and encrypted link of communication is provided to IT managers for remote preventive maintenance.[1]
