Jet Infosystems protected the Grozny thermal power plant from cyberthreats

2019: Implementation of a shelonirovanny system of providing Information Security

On October 3, 2019 the Jet Infosystems company reported that her specialists implemented the echelon system of information security support in the Grozny thermal power plant. The hardware and software system consisting of 8 subsystems of cybersecurity protects IT infrastructure of thermal power plant from internal and external cyberthreats.

Works were performed within the large-scale project of the Gazprom Group on construction of the Grozny thermal power plant and were dated for putting into operation of the second power unit of power plant. Opening of an object took place on June 28, 2019.

The power plant is important strategically for the Chechen republic as provides a considerable part of need of the region for the electric power and should become the driver of development of its economy. Therefore it was extremely important to provide and level all risks before start of an object in operation. Jointly with specialists Jet Infosystems we managed to create the reliable system of protection ensuring smooth operation of power plant noted Alexey Tikhonov, the head of department of information security and information technologies of GEH Engineering company

Works on implementation of means of protecting in the Grozny thermal power plant included comprehensive examination of the platform, adaptation of technical documentation under relevant requirements of regulators, equipment procurement, actually construction and commissioning which was executed by a project team of integrator jointly with specialists of GEH Engineering company in only 1.5 months.

The end-to-end system of information security support integrated in itself subsystems of prevention of leaks, antivirus protection, control of integrity, backup, firewalling and detection of invasions, protection of communication channels, monitoring of event management of cybersecurity and also access control to network. The solution covered all corporate segment of power plant and provided protection of all infrastructure of TPP.

The customer received completely ready complex of solutions closing problems of protection of infrastructure of 'turnkey' power plant.
