"Inline Group" carried out a pilot project to Pipe Metallurgic Company on the system of complex monitoring based on Tibbo software

2019: System implementation of complex monitoring

On October 2, 2019 the INLINE GROUP company reported that it implemented a pilot project of system implementation of complex monitoring based on solutions of Tibbo for Taganrog Metallurgical Works (TAGMET).

According to the company, within the project specialists of Inline GROUP executed logic design of a system during which requirements of the customer regarding monitoring of IT infrastructure, IT systems and data visualization were considered. Works on system implementation were carried out at close interaction with IT specialists TAGMET that allowed to implement optimal solutions taking into account the existing practice of work of IT services and specifics of IT systems of the company.

Within system implementation of Inline GROUP implemented pro-active monitoring of objects of IT infrastructure and IT systems — the used server hardware and storage systems, virtual infrastructure, the systems of terminal servers, server operating systems, database management systems and other nodes. Also, for the purpose of preserving of investments, integration with the operating monitoring systems was implemented. Based on a pilot project dashboards were developed for the main IT systems with indication on key indicators of work of components of IT systems.

The project progress showed that a standard set of solutions does not meet fully all requirements to a system. With respect thereto, a set of standard modules of monitoring and representations of data visualization was expanded and complemented with our own developments. The pilot project was executed within 15 working days and is complete in the planned time.

As a result of creation of a system of complex monitoring approach to creation of a uniform point of control and information resource management of TAGMET company was implemented. Thanks to the implemented IT service dashboards had an opportunity to prevent probable emergence of failures, to quickly localize them and by that to reduce idle times, to reduce losses of working time of personnel and to increase availability of IT systems. Further development of the system implemented in a pilot project gives an opportunity of creation of a system of umbrella monitoring and dashboards with the integrated reporting for IT heads. Consolidation of monitoring systems and management of exploitation of IT promotes increase in awareness of responsible persons on a current status of processes, information systems and the equipment, considerably improving efficiency of interaction of IT and business divisions. Besides, time of acceptance of operational and strategic decisions by reduction of time for identification of infrastructure failures and search of basic reasons of emergence of problems significantly decreases.
