According to Vasily Okulessky, the deputy security officer of Vozrozhdeniye Bank, the economic basis of a phishing and social engineering is made by the data which often are flowing away "on a joint of banks and a telecom" and SIEM systems allow to be protected from it.
He also paid attention that all mass attacks connected with social engineering are made according to certain scenarios and in this sense are not unique. Respectively, it is necessary to configure correctly antifraud-systems and if it is necessary, to delay transfers with bank cards if the operator has suspicions that transaction has a fraudulent background. "Let's the client cool down forty minutes and talk to him once again. I think, opinions of many clients on postings [transactions] which they just confirmed will strongly change", - Okulessky added, having noticed that in general from any social engineering as the industrial solution there is a counter technical solution.
