Rosseti Siberia and IVK signed an agreement on cooperation in the development of digital power

2019: Agreement to digitalize power

On October 4, 2019, it became known that the directions for the development of the digital infrastructure of Rosseti Siberia were determined using solutions in the field of information technologies on the basis of domestic software and hardware platforms.

General Director of Rosseti Siberia Pavel Akilin and General Director of Information Implementation Company (IVK) Grigory Sizonenko signed an agreement on cooperation in the development of digital power in the regions where Rosseti Siberia operates.

In particular, the parties have identified the main directions for the development of the digital infrastructure of the energy company using domestic software products. And this is just one of the elements of cooperation within the framework of a comprehensive project to create a digital region of electric networks (RES) beyond the Urals. The project is designed for three years and involves investments in the amount of 318 million rubles. The Emelyanovsky RES of the Krasnoyarsk branch of Rosseti Siberia was chosen as the pilot object. The project is attended by domestic developers of system and application software, as well as hardware. The experience gained is planned to be replicated to other facilities of the energy company.

Cooperation with IVK in terms of import substitution is very important for us, adopting modern technologies in the development of digitalization, we prefer Russian operating systems for corporate software and hardware systems and technological systems. We are talking about automatic systems for monitoring and accounting of electricity "Pyramid Network," and about automated dispatch control systems, and about the domestic equipment of digital substations. Critical infrastructure facilities shall be built on Russian software and hardware. In the current geopolitical situation, it is necessary to minimize the risks of controlling the infrastructure of these facilities from abroad due to the use of imported software and computer equipment.
