ERP integrators: who is who in the Russian mechanical engineering

The TAdviser center completed a large-scale research of the Russian market of ERP projects. As a result of the research which covered 2033 ERP projects, 104 ERP integrators and 25 ERP systems in 37 branches of the economy of Russia the unique statistical data giving a clear picture about experience of application of ERP systems in specific industries, examination of integrators and level of prevalence of ERP solutions of different vendors in our country are obtained. Key cuts on data retrieveds formed the basis of the analytical report "ERP in Russia 2007: Industries, Projects, Systems, Integrators".

According to a research, the total quantity of ERP projects in the Russian mechanical engineering for the last 5 years makes 387 projects. It is remarkable that the main players in the market of implementations of ERP systems at engineering enterprises are local players, the acquired sufficient examination for informatization of this difficult industry. So, the leader in the number of implementations of ERP systems in mechanical engineering is the Russian company "Kompas" to which share over 8.3% of a total quantity of projects fall. A main product of Kompas company is the ERP system of own development of the same name which well proved in the Russian mechanical engineering and military industrial complex.

The second place on the number of the implemented ERP projects in the Russian mechanical engineering is taken by Frontstep company - 7% of all implementations fall to its share. A main product of the company is the ERP system of Infor ERP SyteLine American Infor developer company which thoroughly was fixed in the Russian mechanical engineering with the several ERP systems at once.

The third place is shared among themselves by GMCS companies, "the 1st Architect of Business" (1AB) and the domestic developer "Infosoft" - each of them implemented about 5% of all ERP projects in the Russian mechanical engineering. At the same time, if GMCS is the multibrand company and implements ERP projects based on products of different vendors, then all Infosoft projects are executed on the basis of the ERP system of own development – CIS Leader. At the same time, company 1AB specializes in implementation of software products of development of 1C, in this case it is about implementation of the ERP system of 1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management 8.x.

The top ten of leaders also includes such integrators as Alfa-Intergartor (now enters into Optima group), which very well proved in military industrial complex – falls nearly 4% of all ERP projects in mechanical engineering to its share. Quite good positions – 3.6% – at another known Russian developers and integrator – Parus company. From Microsoft partners of Dynamics it was selected with AND Project - it implemented about 3% of all projects in the Russian mechanical engineering. Good reputation regarding implementation of ERP systems in mechanical engineering and their integration into specialized software products the ICL KPO-VS company to which share 2.3% of all implemented projects fell also differs. It should be noted that rather big share – over 58.4% – is occupied by category "Other" from most of which part (about 55%) is occupied by franchisees of 1C.
