Fujitsu Dracena (Dynamically Reconfigurable Asynchronous Consistent Event-processing Architecture) is the architecture of processing of data streams developed by Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. which can add or change content when processing large volumes of IoT-data without stopping of work.
2019: The announcement of start of the platform for stream data processing
On October 8, 2019 the Fujitsu company announced plans of start of the platform for stream data processing using which service providers will be able to use the data obtained from the connected cars (connected cars) to the maximum.
According to the company, development allows to make the simple and effective analysis of the Big Data arriving from cars using Fujitsu Dracena technology. She is capable to supplement and change contents of the data obtained from IoT-devices, directly in processing of considerable information volumes at the same time without stopping work. The platform gives the chance to manage and process constantly changing information on people and objects, including on pedestrians, roads, vehicles and buildings. It allows to reproduce a surrounding situation in a digital format, including other vehicles.
The mobility industry for October, 2019 undergoes basic changes which, since 2020, will cause rapid growth of number of the connected cars. The Big Data obtained from such cars, for example the image from sensors and CAN data will play an important role when implementing services of mobility, including monitoring of traffic on roads, interactive maps, insurance services and also at design of vehicles. At the same time systems are developed for the analysis of similar Big Data specifically under each separate service and duplicate each other on functions of development and system resources. It creates the need for a system which could support flexibly and effectively at the same time several services.
For the solution of this task Fujitsu suggests to use technology of virtual copies ("digital doubles") which will allow in real time in a digital format to reproduce information on vehicles and roads. For use of the given technology in the context of the industry of mobility, Fujitsu starts the platform of data processing. It will support development of different services based on the data obtained from vehicles and will give the chance to suppliers of services flexibly to adapt them for different scenarios of use, offering the safe, protected and comfortable services of mobility.
Scenarios of use:
- At the expense of the analysis of traffic conditions of each vehicle on the road the technology executes virtual modeling of traffic conditions that allows users to obtain almost instantly information on traffic jams and noises on roads.
- At the expense of the analysis and forecasting of the current, last and future state, continuous data processing and preserving of several copies of data the technology offers such services as diagnostics of a status of the car and prevention of failure of automobile accumulators and other nodes.
- Due to optimization of the existing services and adding of others without violation of the existing functionality becomes possible to provide support to such services as forecasting of emergence of dangers to the connected cars and assistance when driving which should work continuously.
This platform includes both basic, and different additional services, including service for management and accomplishment of plug-ins for separate subjects, such as pedestrians, cars, roads and buildings, service of system requirements for obtaining information on necessary functional/nonfunctional requirements and rendering assistance in preparation of documents by determination of requirements of systematization and also service of installation for creation of user environments according to documents by determination of requirements of systematization.
